The City of Harlingen WaterWorks Human Resource Department supports the WaterWorks mission by serving, supporting, developing, and valuing its most important asset – its people. This department handles all aspects of the employment process including posting available positions; assisting in the hiring of new employees; coordinating insurance, retirement, leave, workers’ compensation, and Family Medical Leave benefits; orienting; and providing training. It is also responsible for compensation, liability/property insurance claims and assisting with safety compliance. Processing of disciplinary actions, EEOC claims, assisting with child support issues, court cases, and providing guidance, direction, and interpretation of policies and personnel procedures are additional responsibilities of this department. The reward in all of the above is also the opportunity to recognize our employees’ contributions to the WaterWorks’ success and growth.
The WaterWorks is proud of our diverse workforce and our commitment to opportunity.
